Hey, I’m Matt! I’m a non-technical person working in tech. I majored in business and started my career in management consulting before jumping into an operator role at a startup.

I’m figuring out life and my career as I go, and am interested in understanding how the companies and products I interact with on a day-to-day basis actually work.

I write thoughtful essays about the companies and products I’m most curious about, paying particular attention to the differences in how companies and their end users experience and view things by putting myself in their shoes to understand tradeoffs and incentives.

I write monthly, keep an open mind, and am open to debate- hoping to share what I discover on this journey with other very curious people out there.
